An ADA Dentists Can’t Imagine Practicing Without.

Jonathan C. Vogel, DDSCandidate for ADA Second Vice President · District 15
A practicing dentist. A shared purpose.

Meet Jon

I’m Jonathan C. Vogel, DDS—a practicing dentist and owner of Knox Dental. Organized dentistry has shaped the dentist, advocate, and leader I am today.

I’m running for ADA Second Vice President because I believe in what this organization can be. Our work must connect to what dentists experience every day, with membership value that is clear, practical, and relevant across career stages and practice settings.

More about Jon

My journey in organized dentistry began with ASDA when I entered dental school in 2014. I earned my DDS from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston in 2018 and became the owner of Knox Dental in July 2022.

My service has included the ADA New Dentist Committee, Council on Governmental Affairs, and Task Force for Lowering Dental School Tuition, alongside roles with the Texas Dental Association and Dallas County Dental Society.

Communications, Advocacy, and Membership—C.A.M.—are the connected priorities behind my vision for an ADA dentists can’t imagine practicing without.

C.A.M.

A stronger ADA. A brighter future. Together.

C.

Communications

Tell our story better.

Explain the ADA’s value clearly and consistently, where dentists already turn for information.
Explore Communications

The ADA does substantial work for dentists, but members need to see and understand that value. Jon wants volunteer leaders and the people doing the work to tell that story through the channels dentists already use—including social media, podcasts, YouTube, and Facebook groups.

Advocacy

Make our impact visible.

Connect the work of advocacy to the patients, practices, and profession it supports.
Explore Advocacy

Jon wants the ADA to communicate its advocacy work and wins more clearly, connecting that work to the decisions that affect dentists’ practices and finances. The goal is to make the value of a collective voice easier for members to see.

Membership

Deliver tangible value.

Build a membership experience that remains useful throughout a dentist’s career.
Explore Membership

Jon’s focus is tangible value throughout a dentist’s career. His campaign materials identify member benefits, vendor partnerships, financial benefits, and student and new-dentist support as areas for that work.
